Vicious Circle returns in a new form
Vicious Circle, Dulcinea Langfelder’s first work, created in 1985, returns in an entirely new form: a 360° dome experience.
Vicious Circle was Dulcinea’s very first one-woman show— the very piece that introduced her to the world as an interdisciplinary artist. At the time, the stage production was a true personal diary in dance, mime, theater, music, song, and video projection. In recent years, Dulcinea sought to bring her career full circle by adapting that piece for the screen. She surrounded herself with a team of daring artists to breathe new life into the work. In this immersive adaptation, on one hand, 360° dome technology offered possibilities that were unimaginable at the time of the original creation. On the other, the simple plastic hoop of the past gave way to the majestic Cyr wheel—skillfully manipulated by virtuoso circus artist Angelica Bongiovonni— bringing a new level of performance.
